If contemplation, which introduces us to the very heart of creation, does not in flame us with such love that it gives us, together with deep joy, the understanding of the infinite misery of the world, it is a vain kind of contemplation; it is the contemplation of a false God. The sign of true contemplation is charity.

If you would know God, and worship and serve God as you should do, you must come to the means He has ordained and given for that purpose.

Some seek it in books, some in learned men, but what they look for is in themselves, yet they overlook it. The voice is too still, the Seed to small, and the Light shineth in darkness.
